Third Capstone Update

Today, I learned about the future outlook about Financial Advisors, the next decade is seeing the shift for people moving towards Robo-Advisors over Financial Advisors, which will drastically drop the price of asset management and financial planning. Financial Advisors will have to adapt from giving with risk and growth to stability and retirement. Educational loans will become much more of a burden in the future making the need for advisors to help out students with these types of loans.

Second Capstone Update

Today, I learned about the responsibilities of a financial advisor. It is a lot more than I expected as I usually associate them to mainly help clients to manage their money and give them advice but you also educate them on financial health and plan their investments. You also go through adminstrative chores which is what you go through the majority of your workday such as compliance reports, processing trade tickets etc.

First Capstone Update

Today, I learned that all investment advisors candidates in Canada are required to take and pass the Canadian Securities Course (CSC) before being able to take another exam to determine their career goal, which are many of these exams that they can take based on the picture here. For the Financial Advisor path, there are a couple of exams to choose from, such as the Canadi
an Investment Funds Exam (CIF),  or the Certified Financial Planner Exam (CFP).
